Building High-Performing Teams / Coach / Author

David Anderson is a nationally respected leadership consultant and executive coach, best known for helping organizations build High-Performing Teams that deliver consistent, measurable results. As the author of Leadership is Not a Title, David’s philosophy is rooted in the belief that exceptional teams—not just exceptional individuals—drive sustainable success.

David works closely with executives, department heads, and entrepreneurs to create the core conditions of team excellence: trust, shared accountability, clarity of roles, and a unifying purpose. His coaching goes beyond theory—he brings decades of real-world leadership experience, having founded and led (CEO) several businesses, including a marketing automation software company, through growth and transformation.

His engagements often focus on assisting struggling teams or helping high-potential teams break through performance ceilings. David has coached leadership teams during mergers and acquisitions (and has done several M&As for his companies), advised CEOs on building stronger leadership pipelines, and worked with professional firms to align culture and strategy around performance.

He recently shared his insights at the Wilson360 Thought Leaders Retreat in Miami Beach, speaking on what sets high-performing teams apart in today’s volatile business environment.

David’s early career included service in Washington, D.C. as a staff appointee to two U.S. Presidents and two Presidential Commissions—an experience that shaped his ability to lead under pressure and build effective teams in high-stakes settings.

He holds a degree from Arizona State University and completed executive education programs at Harvard Business School, London Business School, and Wharton University.

With a direct, practical coaching style and a deep understanding of what makes teams truly excel, David helps leaders transform culture, knock down silos, strengthen collaboration, and drive exceptional team performance—at scale.
